Never Lost for a Word
Using English as a communication tool
Communicating in a language which is not your first language can be full of trials and tribulations. Often, it is hard work to maintain your identity and confidence while speaking a language which is not your own. Sometimes, our focus is too much on the mistakes we are afraid to make.
Because she has had to survive in a language which is not her first language (i.e. German), Jenny Simanowitz knows this from her own experience. Her conclusion is that it’s not about perfection but about communication and about approaching learning a language with a certain „lightheartedness“ (usually not taught in schools). So,…
Learn to make mistakes - and still keep going!
