Make Your Message Stick - Presenting in a Brain-friendly Manner
What weighs 1.8 kilos, has more than 1,000 trillion connections and affects your presentation success more than you realize? - Your recipient’s human brain.
Yet, often we plan presentations without thinking about the impact of our design on the attendee's brain. For example, talking heads, passive listeners, audience engagement, active participation or something in between? What is the best way to deliver your message? Which juices the brain? How do you get people’s attention? Even more importantly, how do you keep that attention? And, to top it off, how do you get them to remember your message?
Today's brain science has identified several critical strategies to consider during the presentation planning and conducting process. Implementing these will create sizzle and substance for your brain-friendly presentations. When information is presented in brain-friendly ways, attendees transition to participants, increase their retention and spread contagious enthusiasm. Designing a presentation that aligns with how the brain naturally learns ensures success.
