Given the complexity of the world and the current challenges, it is impossible for leaders to understand and solve these alone. The solution is clearly to use the resources, perspectives, and ideas of all team members. Yet how can this succeed in an academic environment which is often characterized by large power gaps? Creating an environment of Psychological Safety in teams is a promising way to succeed together.

Target Group

This workshop is designed for scientific leaders as well as administrative staff leaders who wish to further develop their leadership skills for the challenges of their daily leadership routine.

Goals

Following this workshop, participants will have …

  • more understanding about the necessity for and the power of diversity in perspectives
  • understood the benefits of creating an environment in their teams where people are willing to speak up 
  • gathered tools to support psychological safety in their own teams
