Convincing application documents play a key role for the application for a professorship. This workshop shows how your academic profile may best be presented in the written application for an assistant or full professorship in the German speaking countries. Against the background of the requirements of an appointment committee, the own academic portfolio is first reflected upon. Based on this, standards for the four central application documents – CV, cover letter, research and teaching profile – are highlighted.
Following the workshop you may book an individual check-up of your application portfolio
(send in your application documents via e-mail and receive a written feedback).
Target Group
This workshop can only be attended as part of the Career Development Program for Postdocs Non-Tenure Track and Tenure Track.
Note: This workshop targets postdocs intending to apply in Austria, Germany or Switzerland; as procedures and application culture differ substantially, we do not recommend this workshop for postdocs applying exclusively for professorships in other countries.
