Beschreibung

The Zettelkasten Method is a method to create an integrated thinking environment. This means that you create a medium for your own thinking by means of individual notes and linking them. The zettelkasten becomes a lifelong companion for storing knowledge, developing ideas, and preparing articles, lectures, workshops and more.

Target Audience

All employees from WU and Engage.EU partner universities, whose work is based on coherent thinking, generating and connecting ideas and are thus interested in modern methods of knowledge work.

Goals

This workshop introduces the basic ideas of the Zettelkasten and over the course of a semester helps you to establish your own integrated thinking environment with the benefits:

  1. Reliable integration of new insights and ideas into your already existing knowledge.
  2. Improved recall and comprehension through depth of processing.
  3. An improved integration of thinking, writing, and publishing.
  4. The development of a personal style of working within the framework of the universals of knowledge work.

Content

  1. Fundamentals: The fundamental ability to create a lifelong and software-independent system for knowledge work. (The fundamental Dos and Don’ts of the system, choosing software)
  2. The individual note: The skill to fully develop a thought and record it in such a way that you can understand it forever.
  3. The system: The ability to create thinking canvases within the system so that you can work on a project both in the moment and over decades without losing track of it.
  4. The use of the system: Improving the quantity and quality of your publications and decisions.
  5. The integration in everyday life: Adapting your approach to knowledge work to having an integrated thinking environment.

Methods

We will meet in regular sessions: Wednesdays, from 9.00 – 10.00 am. Please note: the first session will take 2 hours, from 9.00 to 11.00 am!

Additionally, the trainer will provide you with open consulting hours. The time-slots for the open consulting hours will be based on the preferences of the participants.
