Beschreibung

Many of us spend a lot of time talking about the latest news. Why not use this as an opportunity to also learn English on the side? This workshop is ideal for you if you would like to take your English speaking skills to the next level as we discuss current issues and events.

Goals

  • Improve your speaking skills and achieve greater fluency
  • Find the right expressions for different discussions
  • Refine your English listening and reading skills
  • Express your opinion with confidence

Content

  • Talking about a wide range of topics on the basis of current news items
  • Using typical discussion phrases effectively
  • Exploring specific areas of grammar and vocabulary

Methods

  • Each week we will discuss a different item in the news in a friendly and informal manner.
  • Ongoing feedback and general language tips will greatly enhance your English discussion skills over the weeks of the course.
  • On a voluntary basis, participants may also select and present articles to be discussed in class.
