About Quiet Achievers and Bold Replies: How You can Help Introverts and Extroverts to Get Their Best Results in Oral Exams.

Due to different personalities, stress is perceived differently. Depending on whether a candidate is intro- or extroverted, they have different needs to be able to show their best performance.

Target Group

This workshop is specifically designed for faculty members who conduct oral exams. Participants learn how to help exam candidates to perform at their best in a situation they usually experience as stressful.

Goals of the Workshop

During this day of training, you will

  • learn how different personality traits lead to different stress perceptions and avoidance strategies,
  • see neurobiological differences between introverts and extroverts,
  • find out about your own personality,
  • transfer your knowledge to exam situations,
  • match your communication and strategies with different personalities,
  • analyse and manage exam situations you perceive as specifically challenging.

After the workshop, you will be able to deal with exam candidates and exam situations in a fresh way – and maybe with yourself, too.

Methods of the Workshop

Methods will be suited to different preferences in learning situations: individual and writing assignments, tandem and team work, presentation, case studies and professional exchange.
