Grammar Workout (B2 or Above)

Grammar is often associated with memorizing rules and doing boring exercises. It is also quite common (some might say even fashionable) to argue that the correct use of grammar has little impact on communicative success. If, by contrast, you feel that good grammar is actually essential for good communication, and that you would therefore like to revise key areas of English grammar in a friendly and supportive atmosphere, then you’ll enjoy this workshop.

Target Group

Faculty who wish to brush up on English grammar in a relaxed and non-judgemental environment.

Workshop Goals

Having attended this course, you should be able to

  • Deploy grammatical resources appropriately
  • Avoid common pitfalls
  • Appreciate the interrelationship between grammar, vocabulary, and communicative effectiveness

Workshop Content

  • Tenses
  • Sentence structure
  • Linking devices
  • Adverbs
  • How to avoid frequent mistakes

Other topics will be dealt with at the participants’ request.
