Rewire Your Brain: How to Successfully Break Your Habits
Neuroscience has shed new light on many aspects of the human’s brain that we can use in our favor in order to improve our learning and adaptation capabilities, crucial in times of continuous change. Change can be hard. The usual ways of making changes involve only motivation and willpower. But these are limited resources that rather quickly exhaust themselves. However, you can work with instead of against your mind’s natural tendencies.
Target Group
WU staff who want to learn what it takes to overcome futile patterns by rewiring their brains and successfully create and stick to those habits they seek to pursue.
Workshop Goals
In this workshop you learn how to create new habits by creating new neural pathways that actually rewire your brain. Once formed in this way, habits (even healthy habits) are easier to keep and harder to break.
Workshop Content
- Learning how to train your automatic brain to ignore distractions, withstand temptations, and interrupt reflexive, self-sabotaging responses.
- Developing a road–map to overcoming the most common self-destructive habits.
- Developing self-leadership skills related with focus and emotional regulation.
- Learning how to overcome your inner barriers.
